Hi! I'm so glad you're here - and checking this out! So THANK YOU! First, I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I'm Erin, married to Caleb & mom to 2 crazy boys. Caleb is completing his medical residency & I stay home full time with the boys. We bought a house 6ish months ago & that's when the building bug kicked into high gear. During med school, rotations, and first year of residency we lived in small spaces and were on a tight budget. About a year ago, we knew we were moving back to midwest and were going to be able to buy a house-YAY-the only problem was we didn't have any furniture & our budget was SLIM. When I started looking around I realized-HOLY MOLY-furniture is $$$$! That's what lead me to YouTube :) It sounds ridiculous, but I started watching YouTube videos on how to build furniture. So I asked my husband for a Kreg Jig for my birthday and a miter saw for Mother's Day. He went along with my crazy plan - and its turned out pretty well for us :) I don't come from a background of "fixer uppers" or carpenters- so it's been a new venture for me! This blog will be filled with lots of fun, easy + affordable plans, & lots of encouragement!!! If you have any awesome building ideas-send them my way! I would LOVE to hear them :)
