DIY Coffee Table with Hairpin Legs

I posted the plans for another FUN coffee table at Build Something. I've posted the plans below too :)

This coffee table is CRAZY easy! It looks expensive but it's less than $100! Holla!!! A few weeks back my best friend-Jamie asked me to make her a coffee table. I agreed only on the condition that she would come see me... She came...we built a table. So here are some additional details!

Materials you need: 2-2x6x96"

1-1x4x48"

1-1x10x72"

15- 2-1/2" Kreg Screws

20-1-1/4" Kreg Screws

Total: $30 for supplies

+ $60 for set of 4-16" Hairpin Legs

12- 1-1/4" screws to attach the legs

Tools:

Miter Saw

Kreg Jig

Drill

Sander

Step 1:

Cut the table top- 2x6x96/ 4 @ 48". Drill 1-1/2" pocket-holes to plank the boards together. Attach with 2-1/2" pocket-hole screws & wood glue.

Step 2: Cut the side shelf pieces. Cut 1x4x48"/ 2 @ 18 3/8". Drill 3/4" pocket-holes on the side of that board that will be attach to the table. Evenly space the 2 sides 10" from the edge of the coffee table top. Assemble with 1-1/4" pocket-hole screws & wood glue.

Step 3:

Cut & assemble the bottom shelf. Cut 1x10x72"/ 2 @ 26 1/2". Drill 3/4" pocket-holes in one board to plank the boards together AND the ends of the boards that will be attaching to the side shelf pieces. Attach boards using 1-1/4" pocket-hole screws & wood glue.

Step 5: Attach the bottom shelf to side shelf pieces. Use 1-1/4" pocket-hole screws & wood glue.

Step 6: Fill holes, sand & stain project as desired. Jamie used Minwax's Special Walnut & sealed with Minwax's Polyacrylic in Matte.

Step 7: Attach 16" hairpin legs. Jamie bought her's on Amazon for $60 (set of 4). Use 1-1/4" wood screws to attach the legs to the table top.
